AyaMayA's second physical proof run, and comparison pictures

AyaMayA's second physical proof arrived today. The cover prints the way I had wanted now, including those great faux corner protectors and the correction of the misspelled spine. The subheadings in the Tarot chapter work a lot better now as well, and the internal images are clearer. I think that it is a much more appealing book visually now. I also tightened up the line space just a little bit. Those three issues were the only thing holding the book up after the first physical proof was received from the printer. In other words, all I have to do is click "the button" and things are ready to roll.

Minor changes make a big difference, which is why the physical part of the proofing process is important. For example, the spine of the first book proof had a typo on it that did not register until I had it actually in my hands. The week that the full cover went on I was having problems with the computer, with time, and with seeing very different things than was actually in front of me (due to stress, diet, and sleep deprivation). Something else to note is that for the second proof on the spine, the logo was actually centered, but does not look so on the physical copy.

The faux corner protectors might not be something that some people would be so concerned about preserving, but they give the book more of a unique feel in my opinion, so I really wanted to make sure that they printed after all the work that Marantha had done on the front cover.
